Stuffed Suji Cutlets

Learnt this recipe from a foodie blogger who had posted recipe of Suji cutlet. I added my touch to it by stuffing the cutlets with Sweet corn and Spinach and served it with a salad of Sweet corn -Spinach tossed inCream cheese spread.

Preparation time:- 20-30 mins
Cooking time:- 10-20 mins
Makes:- 4-6 Cutlets

Ingredients Required:-
  • 2 cups of Suji
  • 1 cup of milk
  • `1 cup of water
  • 3 tspn of green chilly,ginger and coriander paste
  • 1 tspn of Chaat masala
  • 1 tspn of Cumin powder (Jeera Powder)
  • 1 tspn of Garam masala powder
  • 1 tspn of Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
For the stuffing:-
  • 4-5 tspn of Sweet corn ( Cooked in Boiling water for 10 mins)
  • 4 tspn of finely chopped Spinach 
  • 3 tspn of roasted-crushed peanuts
  • 2 tspn of White pepper powder
  • 1 tspn of oil
Procedure to make:-
1) To make the filling:-
  • Heat oil in a pan and add Spinach leaves and let it cook for a while before adding Sweet corn and roasted crushed peanuts.
  • Add Pepper powder and mix well.

2) To make the cutlets:-
  • Heat oil in a Saucepan and roast Suji in it. Make sure not to change the color.
  • Add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of milk and mix well.
  • Continue stirring till it reaches a dough like consistency.
  • Turn off the flame and let it cool,
  • Once it cools add ginger-green chilly and coriander paste, Salt as per taste,Cumin powder and Garam masala.
  • Knead properly to form a smooth dough.
Assemble the Cutlets:-
  • Take a medium sized ball of Suji dough and spread in on the palm using a little water or oil.
  • Using a spoon scoop a little filling and place in center of the dough.
  • Seal the cutlet properly.
  • Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown,
Serve hot topped with Salad with Ketchup of your choice.
